Terms & Conditions

Registration

Registration is complete once WILDcape South Africa has received an initial deposit. Please note that all reservations are binding. The remaining balance is payable 6 months before departure. In the event of a booking being made within six months of departure, the full package fee is payable within five working days.

Provisional bookings can be held for 48 hours only, pending receipt of a completed booking form.

By registering for a tour with WILDcape South Africa, you confirm the following:

  • During the tour, you are to behave in a way that is not disruptive, upsetting, or dangerous to you or anyone else and must follow the reasonable requests of the WILDcape ranger.

  • WILDcape has the right to terminate your participation during the tour if your behaviour is believed to be in breach of the above obligation and in such circumstances WILDcape will have no further liability to you.

Payment Terms

The date of your installment payment and the balance payable will be advised by WILDcape and visible on your invoice, but generally the final payment is due no later than 6 months before the date of departure.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification. Kindly note that while our cancellation policy may differ for each tour, the general cancellation terms are as follows:

The deposit is nonrefundable.

A 50% refund will be given for cancellations up to 6 months prior to the event.

No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 3 months prior to the event.

A full refund will be provided if the event is cancelled due to WILDcape.

Should you fail to join a tour, join after departure or leave prior to its completion, no refund can be made. The above policy applies to all services of WILDcape South Africa. Please note that third-party camps or hotels may have different cancellation fee policies, which apply only to their services.

Insurance

A WILDcape booking condition is that you accept the hazards involved in visiting remote wildlife areas and engaging in potentially dangerous activities.

To take part in one of our Scheduled Tours, Private Guided Tours or Custom Packages, you must be covered by adequate travel insurance for the duration of the tour and all activities undertaken. The insurance should cover cancellation curtailment, interruption insurance, medical and emergency expenses (including repatriation), personal accident, injury, and death.

Insurance Indemnity

WILDcape does not accept liability for death, injury, or illness unless this arises from the negligent acts of WILDcape South Africa employees.

By filling in the booking form you acknowledge that WILDcape has taken all reasonable steps to safeguard its liability in this respect.

Medical Information

WILDcape South Africa requires participants to be in good health. Participants are required to disclose any medical conditions or dietary restrictions that may affect their ability to participate in the tour. The WILDcape Logistics team requires this information before booking confirmation. WILDcape will be able to counsel participants on whether the tour selected is appropriate.

The tour leader has the right to disqualify any participant at any time during the tour if he/she feels the participant is physically incapable and/or if a participant’s continued participation will jeopardise either the individual involved or the safety of the group. There will be no refund given under these circumstances.

By completing the booking form, the participant certifies that he/she does not have any mental, physical or other condition or disability that would create a hazard for him/herself or other guests.

Itinerary Cancellations

WILDcape reserves the right to cancel an itinerary before departure due to logistical reasons, or too few participants. A decision by WILDcape will be made 60 days prior to departure.

All tour payments received will be promptly refunded, and this refund will be the limit of WILDcape liability. This refund clause excludes all force majeure probabilities or acts of God.

WILDcape South Africa is not responsible for any expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for the trip, including non-refundable or penalty-carrying airline tickets, special clothing, visa or passport fees or other trip-related expenses.

Limitations and Liability

WILDcape, its owners, agents and employees give notice that they act only as the agents for the owners, contractors and suppliers providing means of transportation and/or all other related travel services and assume no responsibility howsoever caused for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from: acts of God, detention, annoyance, delays, expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, force majeure, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, terrorism, government restrictions or regulations and discrepancies or changes in transit or hotel services over which it has no control.

Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made where deemed advisable for the comfort and well-being of the participants.

By registering for a tour with WILDcape South Africa, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
